Xiaoping’s book “Shaping Allusions” does several things that I haven’t seen in one book. It is a “how to” book about slab-built ceramics, but it is also much more.
It is also a monograph or survey of Xiaoping’s artwork which is mostly slab built. The book also highlights slab-constructed work by international master artists.
The book shows us the diversity of expression possible with the ceramic medium.
